Kayla Gardner

Hi there! My name is Kayla Gardner and I am a digital content creator based out of Gainesville, Florida.

I have been working as a freelance social media manager/content creator since August 2018. I currently work with a variety of clients ranging from wedding venues and hotels to commercial and private businesses. My services include:

I am also currently a page design at the New York Times Editing Center in Gainesville, Fla. I work on the International Weekly production staff, designing pages for publications that are sent to international clients of the New York Times.

In addition, I run a lifestyle and fashion blog called The Happy Floridian. I create and promote my own content, which focuses mainly on body-positivity, Florida travel, dining and plus-size style. My website averages about 500 readers a month and my Instagram has over 4,800 followers.

I graduated from the University of Central Florida in December 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in journalism and a minor in digital media. My past experience also includes a being the Special Projects Editor at the Lake City Reporter, a sports clerk with the Orlando Sentinel and digital media intern with iHeart Media Orlando.
